Birds on a Bench

I like making barnboard birdhouses. The gray pine is easy to cut, sand and assemble and leftover bits can be used in a variety of ways, e.g., wee birds.

Ten Barnboard Birdhouses 7

Voila! Fini!

Ten more sturdy birdhouses are now finished, ready to face the world or go into storage for a short time.

Note to self: Buy more wooden utensils. I'm running low.

Spatula World, here I come.

B & W Wee Side Job

After the Brasso

I showed photos of these classy drawer pulls on Monday. Then I cleaned them w Brasso. I think they look better now!

"Good investment," I say.

Attach the Brass!

Platforms are secured to the backer board in the shadow box and the classy brass drawer pulls are in place. I think they look AOK.

"I may have to hang these in my own study!"

Next up: Wee wooden plaques by the artiste!

The Tall Boy

 "Hmmm. Needs a door"

Now the fun begins. Most of the work on the largest part of the structure is complete. But a door must be assembled, which means I need to cut some plexiglass and attach the door frame. Fussy work, but I've been down this road before and survived.

Up next: Five pieces of signage. Should be fun too.
