From Paper to the Platform
Once I put plans on paper I give the idea legs to see how it goes. I cut stock for the first model one piece at a time, in a particular order (faces, then sides. then roof slats), and fiddle around to see if pieces line up. Sometimes adjustments have to be made to measurements in order to make everything fit 'hand to glove'. And other times - rarely! - I get it right first time.
"Almost perfect. Only a couple of minor adjustments needed"
"Then I draw up 'new and improved' plans"
This time 'round, after making a few adjustments and writing up the new plan (for next time), I added trim and took a step back.
I say, 98% done.
