Cedar Houses Done, and a Custom Job is Underway

The Old Workshop is Closed But the Photo Files are Deep

Good barn board is getting harder to come by!

Introduction:

I closed the shop in the fall of 2019 and did not make one birdhouse in 2020. I will never put a book together of all the houses I made because I don't have pictures of them all and the book would be so thick that no one would buy it, 'cept maybe fer firewood : )

Thank being said, photos show up pretty good on the silver screen, so here goes.

Photos From The Workshop:

Log cabins start with logs and roof slats. I generally use cedar for both.

I will use pine for roof slats if I intend to add paint. (above)

Some log cabins ended up with a front yard!

Day is done. Workshop clothes hang by the back door.

I start a custom job (below), using old pine from a shelving unit:

A few other jobs are getting done at the same time. E.g., barn board duplex.

About the above note. Just jokin' around.

The custom house continues:

I add a few small details to duplexes:

I'm not finished one custom job before another one begins. More photos about the box below will appear in the next set of photos. Coming soon!

Bird feeder repair. Pronto. Don't get red paint on the custom job!

And while your at it, another bird feeder would come in handy.

Beautiful cedar fence slats make a fine roof for the feeder:

When I have small bits, I make small houses for 'decor'.
