Western Cedar Slat Houses

Three of six are now ready for storage now that trim and perches are on board.

Slat houses require an interior skeleton to make them sturdy, i.e., so that tiers of slats don't fall apart in your hands! That being said, I may use such slats in du- and triplexes in order to make use of a goodly supply of western cedar stock on hand.

Western cedar will slowly turn gray, like my hair. Ouch!

Busy times ahead, as usual, inside the workshop.
